Zane Victor Zeable

Zane Victor Zeable, son of Joseph and Estelle Zeable, born 8/31/1942 in East St Louis, IL and passed away 10/22/2025 in Columbus, OH. He is survived by his sisters, Elaine (Jim) Boucher and Kathleen Brown; ex-wife Helen; children, Ruth (Kenneth) Rubin, Joseph Zeable, and Thomas (Rebecca) Zeable; and grandsons Jacob and Bram Rubin. A life-long gardener, hobbyist wine-maker, election poll worker, blood donor, fan of the Missouri Botanical Garden, PBS supporter, and dog lover, Zane was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Men’s Club in Olivette, Missouri. He worked for Monsanto Company, especially enjoying his work with collaborators and patent co-holders in fluorine gas and thin films. His family thanks his caregiver of many years, Valerie, and the passionate, talented staff at both OSU Hospitals for their exceptional care. Zane will be interred Sunday at Greenlawn Cemetary.
