Walter Bryson affectionately known as “Walt” was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 4, 1958 and departed this life on December 4, 2019. He attended Columbus Public Schools. He was a cook at Church’s Chicken for a number of years, a housekeeper for the Bryden House, as well as, a custodian at night at Schmidt’s restaurant and several others. He was a man of his word and became quite the handyman. Walt would ride his bike all over the city to do a job. If the location was too far, he would catch the bus taking his bike with him. He even volunteered at several group homes with residents who had disabilities. He was always willing to help others. He loved to fish and work on bikes. He was a quiet man with a really big heart and much love for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents Jenkins and Nellie Williams, brother Curtis Williams and sisters Mary E. Ward, and Julia Birtha.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his daughters Ashley Beatty and Tirisha Coley, granddaughter Mirakkle Coley and grandson Causha Coley, brothers Stanford (Regina) Hill, Troy (Cathy) Williams, John (Deanne) Seymour, sisters Joyce Woods, Deborah Gaines, Natacha Otey and Pamelia Glenn, nephew/brother Tico (Decoffette) Ward, and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.
