Terri Jennings

Terri Jennings, age 65, was born May 3, 1959, and departed from this life unexpectedly on May 1, 2025.

Proceeded in death by parents James Jr. and Ada C. (Cooper) Jennings. Siblings Rudolph Jennings, Daniel Spencer Jennings, Sydatris Whitmire, Vivian Martin, and Colzie C. Croone.Terri attended Columbus Public Schools, graduating from East High School where she was a cheerleader and Central State University. Her family meant the world to her, especially her granddaughters, who brought her joy. Terri was full of personality, loved a good home cooked meal, watching movies, shopping, and listening to music. Some of her favorite artists were Frankie Beverly & Maize and Toni Braxton. Terri was a survivor; she fought the battle. Terri showed many people how to survive, provided life skills, and resources. She was an ear to listen to and a shoulder to lean on. If you called, she was coming.

She is survived by her son, Justin (Jawanna) Jennings; Brother William (Jimmy) Jennings; Sister, Ramona Jennings and Janetta Martin; Grandchildren, De'Zinty Dixon and Shakala Burkhead; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.Celebration of Life for Terri Jennings will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Joe’s Place, 1620 Lockbourne Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43207 from 4pm to 8pm.
