Shirley "Joe" Algoe

Shirley “Joe” Algoe, age 85, Born in Barboursville, WV, to Pastor Howard and Mary Algeo, whom was called home to heaven on October 28th, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio.

Joe is preceded in death by former wife and beloved friend, Virginia Algoe; Step son Todd Hamilton and grandson Timothy “Timmy” Miracle.

Survived by his children; Greg (Healther) Algoe and Tammy (Darrin) Webber; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; His siblings, oldest to youngest, are: Ernest Jackson Algeo, Rosalie Algeo-Safford, Billy Russell (deceased), Mary Algeo (deceased), Tex Ritter Algoe, two unnamed children who died as infants, Howard Taft Jr Algeo, Grace Marie Algoe-Penny (deceased), Betty Alberta Algeo-Aikey, Charles Eugene Algeo, and Ruth Ann Algeo-Stewart. Also Joe’s many nieces and nephews.

Joe retired from the Ohio State University hospital. Joe loved car shows, fiddling in his garage, and giving the best hugs. Joe loved to watch Ohio State football as well as work on his truck and gardening. Although Joe resided in Columbus, Ohio, his heart and soul lived in West Virginia, where he will be laid to rest.
