Shayne Michael Yaudes

After 55 years of avoiding the doctors, dodging traffic, and ignoring good advice, we are saddened to announce that Shayne Michael Yaudes passed away on September 8th, 2025.

Shayne was born in Olean, New York, made a career traveling throughout the country as a construction superintendent, and settled down in Hartselle, AL.

Shayne was a dedicated husband, a loving father, and exceptional friend known for his sarcasm, dry humor, his quick comebacks, and left an impression wherever he went.

His memory lives on with his wife, Mary Ellen Yaudes; children, Taylor Yaudes-Blalock (Evan Blalock), Mason Yaudes, Samantha Dixon, and Dalton Dixon; brother, John Yaudes; and stepfather, Dave Chisolm. Reunited with his parents, Jack Yaudes and Adele Chisolm; his daughter, Lela Moore; and his sister-in-law, Ann Yaudes.

A celebration of life will be held on September 20th, 2025, beginning at 3pm at Shayne’s home – 2679 Vaughn Bridge Rd, Hartselle, AL 35640 – with a special tribute at 5pm followed by food, fellowship and fireworks.

Attendees are encouraged to come as they are and raise a glass in his memory.
