Scottie Jenkins

October 14, 1947 — April 12, 2013

Our beloved Minister Scottie J. Jenkins, 64, crossed over into glory on April 12, 2013. Scottie was born October 14, 1947, in Plainfield, NJ.

He is survived by his Special loving friend Sarah J Jenkins, two sisters, children Linnette Summerall, Jennette Clifford Summerall-Jackson, Darryl Lamont Dionna Nikki Summerall, Angela Isaac Gray, Nicole Jenkins, Ernest Jackie Sabrina Jenkins , Pierre Desire Jenkins, Scottie Junior Felicia Jenkins, Laconda VanDyke, Anthony Lisa VanDyke, and Kolaiah Harvey, and 2 additional children. He was blessed with 32 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, two special nephews Andre Jenkins and Jermaine Jenkins, God-daughter Tera Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved family members.

He is preceded in death by his mother Ella Mae Jenkins, father Robert Jenkins, brothers David Jenkins, Eric Jenkins, and his special aunt Hattie.

Minister Scottie was a member of Kingdom Alive Word Church, Groveport, OH and the bass singer of Columbus' own Vessels of Christ quartet group.

Scottie worked in collaboration with the Kroger Company to distribute baked goods throughout the community to those who may have otherwise gone without. He had many affiliations with other ministers and churches who also dedicated time to reach the needy.

Scottie's love of family was a true blessing from God and will be appreciated and celebrated for many years to come. All who know and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior will see him again in glory
