Richard was born on May 26, 1955, in Kenton County, Kentucky, to his parents Robert Leslie Ashcraft and Betty Jean Thomas, both of whom had also preceded him in death.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy (Wrobel) Ashcraft as well as his siblings Denny and Debbie Ashcraft. Richard leaves behind 6 children, Angie Stevens, Peggy Muro, Jennifer, Ricki Boyer, Nicholas Roberts, Amanda Roberts (Anthony), and Cheri Faries; nephews and nieces, Miranda Smith, Eric Ashcraft, Michael Ashcraft, Joseph Ashcraft, Austin Stevens, Alex Muro, Titan Muro, and Quinton Muro; and 8 grandchildren, Izabella Elaine, Emily Faries, Elizabeth Williams, Serena Williams, Alexis Donaldson, Liam Roberts, Keaton Roberts, and Gage Roberts.
