Rena K. Fox Royma

POYMA Rena K. Fox Poyma, age 75, of Whitehall, died peacefully at Ohio State Medical Center on Monday, March 12, 2012. Rena was born in Galena and lived most of her life in Columbus. She graduated from South High School, Class of 1954, and worked at the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. before her marriage. She was a homemaker during her children's early years. She then worked at Christ the King Church in the administrative office for several years. Rena was a longtime volunteer at Holy Spirit Church as a lector, at the school, overseeing bingo operations, and with the Happy Spirits senior parishioners. Surviving relatives are her husband, Michael A.; children, Michael A., Mark A., Katherine Poyma Otten; grandchildren, Nicholas M. Poyma, Kyle L. Poyma, Liam P. Otten, Samantha A. Poyma and M. Alessandra Poyma; sister, Vera Moore; brother, Ralph Fox; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Spirit Church in Whitehall on Friday, March 16 at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Christ the King's Food Bank program. Online condolences may be sent to
