Paul Dean Edwards

Paul Dean Edwards, 82, of Washington Court House, Ohio passed away peacefully at Lakeland Regional Hospital, Lakeland, Florida on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. He had been hospitalized since February 24, 2021 when he suffered a massive stroke.

Dean was born July 24, 1938 to the late John and Olive Stoops Edwards. He retired from BST as a semi truck driver and from Washington City Schools as a bus driver for special needs students, a job he loved.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a devoted and loving wife of 29 years Deanna Edwards, a daughter, Beth Justice (Chris) of Washington Court House; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Collins (Brian) of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Sonya Henry (Joe) of Washington Court House; a step son, Rob Wilson (Janet) of Washington Court House and a step daughter, Lisa Anderson of Washington Court House, Siblings Joyce Kimball of Blanchester, Virginia Pollitt (Paul) of Blanchester, Ronnie Edwards (Margene) of Heflin, Alabama.

Dean also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and step grandchildren which he adored. Granddaughter Logan Justice (Brendan Byrne) of Houston, Texas; Brooke Henry of Jamestown, Ohio; Luke and Gage Henry of Washington Court House; Claire Collins of Columbus, Ohio; Minda Chrisman (Charlie) and Jill Helderbrand (Kyle Shaw) of Washington Court House; Jaymi Brumfeld (Gary), Melissa Fausnaugh (Todd Oros), and Scott Fausnaugh (Brandi) of Circleville; Jim Wilson (Sandy) of Washington Court House, Tammy Myers (Steve) of Mount Sterling, as well as, a host of great grandchildren, in laws and dear friends including special friend Keith Rowe (Paige) of Washington Court House who he loved like his own son. Dean had a plethora of friends as he never met a stranger and enjoyed nothing more than the company of others.

He was preceded in death by step son Mike Wilson, step daughter Pam Fausnaugh and brothers John "Art" Edwards, Lee Edwards, Wayne Edwards and sisters Juanita Miller and Betty Bridges.

To honor his wishes, Dean was cremated and a celebration of life will be held at Cedar Lodge 1696 Flakesford Road SE Washington Court House, Ohio, on Friday May 14th, the funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with fellowship and food to follow. Joe Pinkerton will officiate.

Interment in Highlawn Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date. The family is being served by Spangler Cremation Service in Lakeland, Florida and Edwards Funeral Service, Columbus, Ohio.
