Patricia “Trish” Ann Campbell Stiehm, 74, loving mother, grandmother, sister, wife and aunt passed away peacefully on May 27, 2020 in Canal Winchester, OH.

Trish was born in Warren, PA on October 26,1945, the oldest of Jane Leda (Brooks) and Edward Miles Campbell’s seven children. She grew up in East Brady, PA and Columbus, OH, graduating from West High School in Columbus in 1963. She married her first love, Stephen John Eckle in 1964 and became a young widow in 1968 when his helicopter was shot down in Vietnam.

She had several careers in her life, including working in sales for Revlon at Lazarus in downtown Columbus, owning a gift shop and as a secretary at the Ironsides Co. where she met her second husband, David Charles Adelman. Trish and Dave moved to the Pittsburgh, PA area in 1974 where they raised their two children, Amy and Matthew.

She was the first person in her family to attend college, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She became a psychotherapist focused on helping people who had experienced emotional trauma or were struggling with addiction.

Trish found love for a third time and married Bruce Gilbert Stiehm in Pittsburgh, PA in 2002. Trish welcomed Bruce’s sisters, children, and grandchildren into her family with open arms. Trish and Bruce relocated to Columbus in 2011 to be closer to her siblings, nieces and nephews and had many wonderful years together before he passed away on January 28, 2020.

Trish treasured her family and friends and was always available to listen and provide loving support to others. More than anything, she adored her children and grandchildren and embraced every opportunity to spend time with them. She also loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her children and grandchildren, especially ski and beach vacations.

Trish was preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce Gilbert Stiehm and Stephen John Eckle, parents, brothers, Edward Allen Campbell and John Milo Campbell, nephew Michael Lee Andrews and sister-in-law Karen Stiehm Malone.

She is survived by her beloved children, Amy Michelle Adelman (Allan) House of Baltimore, MD and Matthew David (Molly) Adelman of Danville, CA and grandchildren, Ella Marie Adelman, Masen Matthew Adelman, Dillard Alexander House and Connor Charles House. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Campbell (Ed) Baker, Tammie Campbell (Steve) Franz, Dick (Bernadith) Campbell and Char Campbell Andrews, her cousin and lifelong friend, Sandy (Gary) Smith and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A private family memorial celebration is being planned.
