Norma Mae Mapp

Norma Mae Mapp, 88 years old, passed away Dec. 01, 2017 after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by parents George B. and Ellen E. Bailey Haynes, brothers Ronald, William , George Jr., and Edward Haynes, sisters Bernice Cathy, Madge Wells and grandson Jeffery Snuggs.

Norma was born September 26, 1929 and raised in Pence Springs, WV. She attended the Harris School in Talcott, WV and Lincoln School in Hinton, WV. She worked as a domestic and chambermaid before moving to Philadelphia, PA in the early 1950s. She eventually earned a living there as a cook. In 1980 she moved to Columbus, OH where she worked as a cook for several fraternity houses on the OSU campus for 15 years. She then worked for Lifecare Alliance until her retirement.

She leaves behind daughter Sharon Snuggs, granddaughter Jennifer (Jason) Silvers, brother James Haynes Sr., special niece Marsha Kinton, special nephews Steven Wells and James Haynes Jr., and special life long family friend Louise Standard, cousins and a host of nieces and nephews.

Following the decedents wishes there will be no services.
