Michael`s Life
Michael Charles McCarty was born on 9/7/52 to Charles I and Florencine McCarty in Columbus Ohio . He went to Walnut Ridge High School and graduated in 1970. He worked for the State of Ohio after that . He went to Columbus State studying accounting but found he did not like it so he did not finish. He married Diane M Irwin on July 3,1975 . Shortly after getting married he went to work for the post office as a letter carrier for 20 yrs until he was disabled retired in 1995. He wrote a book of poetry from poems he wrote during his teenage years and it got published . It was called " Looking Out From Within" it was about what he went thru as a teenager and even thru times we had together before we were married . His held an advanced class license in amateur radio . like all amateur radio operators he started out in c.b. He made a lot of friend thru radio and had Q.S.L cards from people he talked to from all over the world . He also was interested in the weather . He used to post the weather for the day at his station he carried mail out of and even gave talks about weather safety and job safety. He would have been a great meteorologist. He had a lot of health issues. he had 2 heasrt attacks 2 strokes and c.o.p.d for 5 yrs . He said he joined the army because he knew his number was coming up. was honorably discharged . He will be missed as he was a wonderful husband and a great friend asd people loved to talk to him . he had a lot of knowledge about a lot of subjects and he loved to research different subjects. He is at peace now and no longer in pain or suffering . I love you my Michael and will miss you terribly
