Marilyn E. Chandler (Severns), age 82, Powell, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was born in Marion, Ohio to the late Milan Ray and Birdie Darnell Severns.
She was a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She was always known for her warm, friendly and welcoming smile. She cherished times spent at family gatherings, traveling (especially taking cruises and the beach), cooking for her family, and finding ways to make visits special for family and friends. She enjoyed many types of music but was very fond of southern gospel, traditional christian and big band sounds. She was a member of Worthington Christian Church, Worthington, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Max Severns, Robert Severns, Kenneth Severns, and Donald Severns.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ned, daughters, Lori Wiseman (Tim) and Rhonda Chandler, sisters, Betty Shifley, and Susan Severns, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with calling hours starting at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Worthington Christian Church, 8145 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43235.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association at www.stroke.org or to Worthington Christian Church at www.worthingtoncc.org .
The family would like to thank the staff at The Ganzhorn Suites and Capital City Hospice for the loving care she received.
