Leon is survived by his sister, Sheila Grimes, and his nephews Tody Giles, Steven L Giles, Alexander Mitchell Jr., and Nathaniel Alexander, along with his nieces Shelly Giles, Elizabeth Grimes, Alexis Mitchell, and Mackenzie Spain. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Elizabeth Grimes, his sister Diane Giles, and his brother Duane Grimes.

The impact Leon had on the lives of those who knew him will not be forgotten. His memory will live on through the melodies he played and the love he shared with his family.
