Katheryn Neudecker
Born two years before the Magic Kingdom opened (and clearly responsible for much of the magic that followed), Katheryn Neudecker exited this world having lived loudly, colorfully, and entirely on her own terms.
Katheryn was a force to be reckoned with. Sparkly, sharp-witted, and delightfully unapologetic. Her sense of humor was legendary: quick, clever, and occasionally just dangerous enough to keep things interesting. She didn’t tiptoe into rooms. She arrived and you knew it.
Known to many by her stage name, Miss Kat Colorful, she dazzled as a burlesque dancer, balloon artist, and sartorial icon. Amazing dresses were her trademark, often handmade, always unforgettable, and worn with the confidence of someone who knew exactly who she was. Subtle was never the goal.
She delighted crowds at the Renaissance Festival with the love of her life, Pam, where she fully committed to whimsy, spectacle, and the noble art of living out loud. Later in life, Katheryn discovered gardening and became fiercely devoted to her ever-growing plant family. From that moment on, there was no such thing as “just a plant”, only beloved green companions who thrived under her care.
In her later years, Katheryn found a whole new audience on TikTok, where she charmed and delighted fans alongside her puppet co-stars Gus Gus, Moe, and Linnea. Together, they spread laughter, mischief, and joy. Proving it’s never too late to become internet-famous with puppets and impeccable timing.
She is survived by her beloved wife, Pam; Her sister and Brother-in-law, Suzanne and Chad Sr Wischmeyer and their children Madisyn and Chad Jr. Her beautiful daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Bryan Weiner and their sparkplug of a son Finn. Daughter Ayana and her mother Sabriya. CJ, Alex and Jackson Watson. And her trusted host of bandits, Dr. Mary Ann Horton and Janet Grey, who no doubt helped her stir up joy, chaos, and laughter wherever they went.
Katheryn leaves behind a legacy of bold creativity, deep love, fabulous outfits, and a standing invitation to wear the dress, try the weird thing, talk to your plants, and never under any circumstances, dim your color.
