Janice L. Stricklett (Estep), 61, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on September 17, 2026, at Mount Carmel Grove City, with her devoted husband by her side. She was born on July 30, 1965, to the late Donald Estep Sr. and Brenda Estep.

Janice was a stubborn, straightforward kind of girl who was never afraid to speak her mind. She said exactly what she thought—sometimes more than you wanted to hear—but you always knew exactly where you stood with her. Her authentic, fiery spirit was one of her greatest qualities. She lived life on her own terms, whether she was out four-wheeling and playing in the mud, or sitting at the bingo hall, where she was an avid player and made countless friends along the way.

Underneath her outspoken nature was a woman who cared deeply for the people in her life. Her fierce loyalty, humor, and spirit will live on through everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Estep Jr., and many beloved aunts and uncles. She is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, Jim Stricklett; her cherished dog, Jack; her best friends, Sandy Ray and Paula Self; her uncle, Don Estep; her aunt, Pauline Taylor; and many loving cousins and close friends.
