Jack Bruce Hale, 84, passed away on February 20th, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 6th, 1936 in Marion, Ohio to Melvin and Audrey (Clark) Hale.
Jack grew up in Marion, Ohio. He graduated from Harding High School in Marion Ohio in 1954. After high school he joined the Army in in 1955 and served for 40 years. He has been a part of the Marion County sheriff department for 25 Years and the Ohio department of public safety for 34 years. By trade he was a brick mason.
Jack married Nancy on September 25, 1963 in Hutchinson Kansas. They were happily married for almost 58 years. Jack was a member of The Free Masons, Ham Radio Club of Marion, The Legion 162, and many other associations. He enjoyed wood carving, weather, his armature radios, and spending time with his wife and family. His daughters and granddaughter were his pride and joy. He also loved his two puppies Rosey and Zoey.
Jack was a go getter he was able to obtain 3 college degrees, numerous awards and certificates. He was a world traveler due to his work with the Army and he never had a moment to sit down. He was also a part of the movie Attica and other movies.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Audrey Hale (Marion), his siblings Scott and Bob.
Jack is survived by his wife Nancy of Marion, Ohio; his daughter Dawn (Rick) Reed, of LaRue, Ohio and Jessica (Alan) Rasey of Marion Ohio, and his Granddaughters McKayla Rasey and Tasheena Hale-Funk.
Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to The Free Masons of Delaware Ohio.
