Fleming Dewey Thornsbury, 74, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Fleming was born on March 29, 1940 in North Spring, WV. to George and Lydia Thornsbury.

Fleming proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of the "Giles Mountain Boys Bluegrass Band" where he played the fiddle and banjo. Fleming taught himself how to play the fiddle and banjo and loved to play music with his special grandson John Michael Thornsbury.

He is survived by the love of his life, Patsy Thornsbury; sons, Michael Vaughn (Donna) Thornsbury, Martinsburg, WV., Wendell Kerry (Angie) Thornsbury, Princeton, WV.; brother, Arthur (Jenny) Thornsbury, Iaeger, WV; sisters, Judy (Jackie) Garlic, Iaeger, WV, Lana (Fred) Sweatie, Hilton Head, SC, Sonja (J.R.) Sexton, Statesville, NC; and 2 grandchildren, John Michael Thornsbury, Hanover, WV, and Hannah Naomi Thornsbury "Special Angel", Princeton, WV.

Proceeded in death by his parents, George and Lydia Thornsbury; Sister, Betty Garlic; and Grandson, Logan Rhett Thornsbury.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in WV.
