Ernest Eugine Richards, a beloved resident of Marengo, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 22nd, 2026, at the age of 63. Born June 5th, 1962, in Marion, Ohio, Ernest was known for his kind heart, industrious spirit, and a deep love for the great outdoors.

Ernest attended North Union Local School in Richwood, Ohio, for his high school education. He went on to build a longstanding career as a dedicated factory worker at Midwest Acoust-A-Fiber, where he was known for his hard work and camaraderie with colleagues.

A man of simple pleasures, Ernest found joy in fishing, camping, and engaging in any outdoor activities. He was also a skilled pool player and an avid collector of arrowheads, a hobby that reflected his appreciation for history and nature.

Ernest leaves behind his daughter, Kaylynn Richards, sisters, Patty Grube and Mary Stutler and his brother, John Richards along with his nephew, Cordell, and nieces, Brandi and Sydney. He also leaves behind his great-nephews, Jeremiah, Mayson, and Jaxton, and his great-nieces, Kayla and Alice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Amilia Richards.
