Eric Dwayne Kovach, beloved son, father, brother, and cherished friend, passed away on July 15, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 45. Eric was born on November 8, 1980, and throughout his life, he touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Eric’s enduring spirit, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family defined his days and inspired those around him. He leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his memory and the legacy he created through his strength and generosity. Eric is survived by his devoted mother, Marcie Stuart, and his step-father, Ron Stuart, whose support and guidance were an important part of his life.

Eric's pride and joy were undoubtedly his children: his son, Eric Kovach, and his daughters, Hannah Kovach and Zoey Kovach. He valued every moment with them, treasuring their laughter and milestones, and striving to guide them with love and wisdom. His bond with his children was deep and unbreakable—a legacy they will carry forward in their own lives.

Family was always close to Eric’s heart. He is survived by his brothers, Anthony Henry and Adam Stuart, his dear cousin Aaron T Madosky with whom he shared a lifelong camaraderie. Eric’s circle of family stretches further, His grandparents, Aaron and Robin Madosky, offered steadfast encouragement, and his aunts—Tina Haughton-James, Tracey Madosky, Lari Shaw, and Michelle Madosky, and Special Friend Dave Moreno surrounded him with care and affection throughout the years. 

Eric’s life is also fondly remembered by those who went before him, especially his beloved grandmother, Martha "Marcie" Madosky, whose influence and love shaped his early years and remained part of him always.

Friends and loved ones are invited to gather in remembrance of Eric’s life at a Memorial Gathering to be held at Families First at Edwards, located at 1166 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH 43206, on July 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This gathering will be an opportunity to honor the memory of a man who gave so much to those he cherished and whose spirit will be eternally missed.

Eric Dwayne Kovach’s memory lives on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all whose lives he touched. His caring nature, resilient spirit, and unconditional love will remain a source of comfort and inspiration, now and always.
