Her Roots and Early Life

Ella was born and raised on a farm in Marengo, Ohio, where her childhood was filled with the simple beauty of country life. As an adult, she made her home in Ashley, building a life rich with routine, work, and family. In her later years, she returned to Marengo, coming back to the roots and the land that had shaped her earliest memories.

She was a proud graduate of Highland High School in Marengo.

Her Work and Hobbies

Ella began her working years at the dime store in Delaware, Ohio, where she served as an accountant. She later devoted herself to community service as a dispatcher for the Ashley Police Department, where her calm presence and steady reliability were deeply appreciated.

She found joy in the simple, beautiful things: crocheting soft blankets by hand, decorating cakes with care, playing cards with loved ones, and savoring the warmth of family gatherings. Her faith as a Seventh-day Adventist guided her with peace, humility, and compassion.

Her Spirit

Ella’s heart belonged to her children and her family. Her presence was a source of comfort, her wisdom a guiding light, and her love a constant that steadied every life she touched. Her absence leaves an ache, but her spirit—warm, patient, and forever giving—remains.

She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
