Donna Sue Pozega, 55, of Loudonville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 30, 2026.

Donna was born on June 17, 1970, to Susan Norris (Carver) and Virgil Lee Carver.

In her earlier years she was employed as a nurse's aide and a factory worker. She enjoyed her grandkids, country music, gardening, walking the track, and most importantly family. Beyond her family roles, she found pleasure in the simple and meaningful joys of life. She loved to cook and clean while finding satisfaction in creating warmth in her home for anyone there.

She is survived by her spouse Howard (Mike) Gayheart, Children, Chuck Shay, Brandon Shay, Stevie Teel, and Logan Chaney. Grandchildren, Phoenix, and Hazel Shay. Siblings Cindy (TJ) Daugherty, John (Bandana) Carver, Mike (Brittani) Carver, Pamela (Nick) Dotson, and Melissa (Dorsey) Carver. Also, Numerous friends she shared many great memories with one that she was very fond of Brenda Hughes. She was preceded in death by parents Susan and Virgill Carver, Son Michael Shay, and Children's father Charles Shay SR.

Donna Sue Pozega’s passing is met with deep sorrow, yet also with profound gratitude for a life lived with compassion, care, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her legacy will endure in the hearts of everyone that had the privilege to know her as a woman who was resilient, stubborn and understood the true meaning of family.

The Celebration of Life will be on June 13th at 1pm at the Activities Center in Loudonville, Ohio.
