Diane Saunders (Hardgrove) was born December 19th, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio. She
departed this life on Friday, October 13th, 2023, at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor.
Diane was the oldest of four children, born to Adolphus and Martha Hardgrove. On
August 24th, 1974, she married George R. Saunders and through their union they had
two children RoShawn Saunders and Robin Saunders.
Throughout Diane’s life, she worked at Ohio Bank, Bank One and eventually becoming
a Home Health Aid for Aetna Healthcare. She loved taking care of the elderly, showing
God’s love and brightening their day. The best thing to happen to Diane was when she
gave her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized at the Church of Christ of Apostolic Faith.
She later joined The New Church of Jesus Christ with her mother.
In her mid-adult life, she joined and enjoyed worshipping at Living Waters Christian
Fellowship Columbus (formerly Tabernacle Assembly), led by Bishop Les J. Sims.
Diane enjoyed stashing candy away and anything she could for her grandkids, being a
fisty little soul to everyone at the nursing home (who loved her so much), watching her
OSU Buckeyes (O-H…), playing her BINGO and driving RoShawn crazy. ALWAYS
wanting to buy something out of those catalogs that “magically” appeared in her room
ALL THE TIME… If you knew her you loved her, you knew what was on her mind, how
much she loved you or didn’t. Most of all serving and loving her Lord Jesus Christ!
Diane is proceeded in death by her husband George R. Saunders. Parents; Adolphus
and Martha Hardgrove, sister Denise, brother Daniel, and niece Melanie. She leaves to
cherish her memory; her brother David (and his mate Diane), son RoShawn (Diamond),
daughter Robin and grandkids; Jeremiah, Dorian, and Jojo whom she adored. As well
as, four nephews, one niece and a host of other family members and friends.
A memorial service for her will be held Saturday, October 28th at 1:00 pm at Living Waters Christian Fellowship 1824 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43211.
