Dennis L Moore Sr.

Dennis L. Moore Sr., 79, passed away on February 8, 2026, following a battle with dementia and kidney failure.

Dennis was born on October 25, 1946, in Cumberland, Maryland, to George W. Moore and Mary Louise (Knippenberg) Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Colin L. Moore.

He is survived by his children, Desiree Fleming (Todd) and Dennis Moore Jr.; his grandchildren, Danielle Hilliard, Ashley Welling (Jason), Kenzie Dove (Dylan), and Taylor Moore; and six great-grandchildren.

Dennis is also survived by his siblings: Michael Moore (Connie), Steve Moore (Marlene), Tracy Moore (Barb), William Moore (Debbie), and Holly McGraw (Tim) and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis served in the US Army 1st Calvary division and was a Vietnam Veteran (1968-1969) who fought in many battles including the Tet Offensive and obtained a rank of Spec 5 th class.

Dennis loved animals of all kinds. Please consider donating to your local animal shelter in his name.

Dennis never met a stranger and had a hardy laugh and a great sense of humor. He will be missed.

Per his wishes, there will be no service. He will be cremated, and his ashes will be scattered on Iron Mountain in Cumberland, Maryland.
