He was born April 1, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Max and Anna Dougherty Spangler.
Survived by Children, David Dana Spangler Jr., Terri Derek Stangle and Norman Kim Spangler. Former wife, Norma J Clark. David was a proud Papaw and Great Papaw to many beloved grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents and sister Mary Packard
