David Bohl Luttenberger, 79, passed away on May 6, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories with family and friends.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Jan; his sons, Andrew (Lauren) and Joshua (Angela); his cherished grandsons, Anderson and Landon; and his beloved grandpups, Lilly and Shiloh.

David devoted much of his professional life to the air pollution control industry, reflecting his lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship and protecting the world around him. He was deeply thoughtful, intelligent, and endlessly curious about how things worked.

An avid reader and talented guitar player, David had a deep love for music and learning. He had a remarkable gift for explaining complicated subjects in simple, understandable ways and was always generous with encouragement and compliments. His warmth, kindness, and ability to make others feel valued left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

David’s greatest joy was being on the water. From childhood through every stage of life, he owned boats and found peace and happiness boating with family and friends. The Buckeye Lake Yacht Club became his home away from home, a place filled with treasured memories and lifelong friendships. He often said there was no place he would rather be.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club.

David will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his gentle spirit, intelligence, humor, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.
