In loving memory of Dale Paul Stump who went home to be with the Lord on December 8th 2022 at the age of 66. Born in Columbus Ohio to the late Raymond L Stump Sr. and Marcella L Stump on August 14th 1956.
He is survived by his son Justin P. Stump, brother Raymond (Cindy) Stump, sister Barbara (Gaylord) Otterbacher, nephews Jason (Emily) Otterbacher, Steven (Ali) Otterbacher, David (Dana) Otterbacher, Dan Stump and great nieces and nephews Payton, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Magnus, Amelia, Lilian, Thorin and Leopold and many other family, friends and adopted family.
Dale graduated from Westland High School in 1975. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army (1975-1979). Dale found joy in working for his sister at local festivals and small town events. While working such an event, his family and friends lovingly gave him the nickname papa Smurf. Throughout Dale’s career he found that he enjoyed working in the telecommunications and hospitality field.
His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially during the holidays. Dale’s most precious moments were shared with his son and his granddog (Athena). Anyone that knew Dale knows he was a kid at heart. As such, Dale enjoyed mentoring and playing with the younger generation. Dale held a special place in his heart for Lily’Onna (Annetta Cooper) who he absolutely adored!
His services will be held on Sunday January 8th 2023 from 3pm-5pm with the service at 5pm at Mt Sterling Masonic Lodge 48 N. London St. Mt Sterling Ohio 43143. If you would like to donate anything in his honor please donate to any veteran service.
