Carol Pamaline Spangler

April 6, 1960 — May 16, 2024

Columbus

Carol Pamaline Spangler (Pam) died on May 16, 2024 at Grant Hospital.

She was born in Columbus Ohio to Elzie and Margaret Roden on April 6, 1960. She loved to have fun and enjoyed being together with her family and friends. She was known for being very outgoing and having a good time. To quote her, “Hell yeah!”. She loved everything Native American and collected many decorative pieces of art. You could often find her with her fingers in the dirt coaxing the beautiful flowers to sprout forth in all their glory.

.

Her grandchildren fondly remember “Grandma Pam would take us to the park and to the pond to  feed the ducks.” “We loved when we were kids and got to sit at the kitchen table, talking and eating olives right out of the jar with her.”

Her brother remembers her bad aim. Her middle sister said, “Pammy never met a stranger,” of which all who knew her would agree. Her younger sister misses the days when they would load up all the ‘rugrats’ and head to the beach.

Her oldest son says, “She wasn't a perfect parent but she was mine, she loved everyone she met, just don't tell her what to do” Her younger daughter says “Thanks for the love of the outdoors and this smile! May you be at peace now.” Her oldest daughter says, "I am so glad she is not suffering anymore and can’t wait until our family, the fab five, is reunited with our mother and the euchre cards are dealt.”  We love you mom.

I quote, “Now you are leaving, I am the one who is bleeding, you took a piece of me, give me a reason, 64, ain’t even time to say goodbye, I am barely breathing”.  She is survived by many family and friends who love and will miss her very much. Pam’s service will be held at Rhoden Cemetery in Kentucky as she wanted. For additional details contact the family.
