Bruce Wayne (not THAT Bruce Wayne) Lint was born April 15th, 1961 to Charles Edwin Lint and Dolores Jean Gaster Lint, whom have both preceded him in death.
Bruce was a talented “fix-it” man and problem solver. He enjoyed working on vehicles and worked for a private ambulance company for 12 years, then worked at Sam’s Club for almost 5 years before medically retiring. Bruce was good at playing pranks at work and making people laugh. He was also the family mechanic. He was a man of little words and didn’t give out “I Love Yous” often but would rather show you in his jokester, pranking way. He also pranked several of his medical providers often and did his best to brighten their day. He LOVED his animals throughout his life, and left behind 2 fur babies, Chloe and Josie.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karla Hartman Lint; two sons: John Wayne (not THAT John Wayne) Lint and Charles Lint (not THAT Charles Lint) and wife Miranda; one sister, Charlotte (Gary) Eversole; two brothers, Matthew Dillon (not THAT Matt Dillon)(Marilyn) Lint Sr. and Douglas Lint; a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces, and nephews, including a special nephew Jesse James (not THAT Jesse James) and Wife Jenny Foster who were vacation buddies and who helped facilitate Bruce’s final hurrah… a CRUISE to the Bahamas. Bruce also leaves behind his in-laws, The Hartman Family, who thought of him as their own.
Bruce accepted Christ around four years ago very early in the morning as he was in a medical crisis. He asked Karla to call Pastor Snow and was led to the Lord on the couch in our home… the same spot he went to be with our Lord. He said he wouldn’t be (and wasn’t) perfect, but he knew that God had forgiven him. As of late he kept questioning Karla, saying I’ve done a lot of bad things in my younger days… I don’t know if I will make it to Heaven. Karla introduced him to a song: Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave, which he would go on to play in the car on every short or long car trip. Our hearts have a hole as big as the ocean, but we are comforted to know that he is with our Savior and his parents, and his body is now whole again and pain-free.
Bruce had an excellent Medical Team, and his family are very appreciative of their efforts. Bruce had a few favorites. These stand-outs are: Dr. H. Todd Kepler, former primary care physician; Dr. Zlad Khatib, former primary care physician; Dr. Eric Jason Plumley, foot surgeon and friend of more than ten years; the late Dr. Raj Dhingra, Bruce’s first nephrologist; Dr. Natalia Maroz, Bruce’s current nephrologist; and lastly but certainly very crucial to his care, our home hemodialysis nurse, Jaima Sprayberry.
